Gadani: In a significant crackdown on narcotics smuggling, the Customs Enforcement Gadani has successfully seized a large quantity of illegal drugs. The operation was led by Inspector Muhammad Shahzad, with the assistance of Hafiz Yunus and Tauseef Ahmed.

On the instructions of Collector Jamshed Ali Talpur, Deputy Collector Rana Aftab have expedited anti-smuggling efforts. Customs is relentlessly cracking down on smugglers. This is the first time such a successful anti-smuggling drive is going on, which became possible because of the intervention of Army Chief Asim Munir.  

The confiscated narcotics were discovered hidden in a truck/trailer machine bearing Registration No. TLA-582 (Quetta), which was intercepted on January 23, 2025.

The Gadani Customs Enforcement team found 136 packets of Hashish/Charas concealed in the hidden cavity of the side fuel tank. The substance was tested and confirmed to be narcotics. Two individuals, Anwer Hussain and Naseer Ahmed, were arrested on the spot and are currently under investigation.

This successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of Pakistan Customs to combat smuggling and enforce strict anti-narcotics measures. The Gadani Customs Enforcement team has been commended for their vigilance and dedication to maintaining law and order.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to identify and locate other individuals involved in the smuggling attempt. An FIR has been lodged, and further legal proceedings are expected to follow.

This seizure marks a significant victory in the fight against narcotics smuggling and underscores the importance of continued vigilance and cooperation among law enforcement agencies.
