QUETTA: Customs Quetta has seized 178 kg of hashish/charas coming from Quetta to Karachi. Information received by the Collector Customs (Enforcement) Samiul Haq, communicated through Additional Collector-I (Enforcement) Mr. Aftabullah Shah passed by Assistant Collector lakpass Mr. Asad Aleem that huge quantity of narcotics substance will be smuggled from quetta city towards different cities via Lakpass in a Nissan Car.

A patrolling team was constituted by Incharge Lakpass Mr. Shabbir Khan including Mr. Essa Khan, Inspector, Mr. Ishaq George, Inspector along with class IV-staff.

The staff started patrolling on Quetta Karachi RCD Highway and afterwards a Nissan car was stopped.

The driver fled away to nearby village taking advantage of darkness, furthermore on thorough search of said vehicle recovered large quantity of narcotics material concealed in special designed cavities made in doors, back trunk and seats.

International Market value of narcotics substance along with vehicle comes to Rs109 million. FIR has been lodged and further proceedings are underway.
