KARACHI: A custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh disposed of a petition filed by Bilal Brother Industries, Karachi by directing the Custom Appellate Tribunal to decide the appeal pending before it within shortest possible time.
Rana Sajhawat Advocate appeared for the petitioner company. He said that petitioner would not press the petition if direction is given to the custom authorities for provisional release. He also submitted that valuation has been challenged in an appeal No 1900/2022 before the Custom Appellate Tribunal.
The Secretary B.O.R, Collector of Customs (Appraisement) East and West are respondents in the case. Assistant Attorney General G.M.Bhutto appearing for the federal government did not oppose the request.
The bench then disposed off the petition with direction to the appellate forum to decide the matter expeditiously.
