KARACHI: Collector MCC Preventive Karachi Tariq Huda had a last session with his formation, as Huda is leaving for management course vacating the office of Collector Preventive.
Speaking on the occasion, Tariq Huda said the Customs Preventive was not being accorded with proper resources sand facilities, but still Customs was making it up with their efficiency and dedication.
He said during last three years of his tenure being collector preventive, the entire formation delivered and appreciated the officers/officials. He said he had a very positive relationship with the formation and advised the formation to impose the writ of Customs at all cost leaving no room for the intervention of other agencies.
He said customs association should direct their time and agencies towards the welfare of Customs employees and added that his efforts would continue so that a residential scheme for the Customs employees could be there.
The session also praised the tenure of Tariq Huda and particularly appreciated the practical measures taken by Tariq Huda such as security of Customs House Karachi, renovation of Edulgee Dinshaw Road, which also provides a place to visit for the general public. He also renovated Preventive Club, which is a historical icon of the country, which was established in 1933 by Mr. Railey, a preventive officer.
Tariq Huda also setup two huts at Hawksbay for the customs officers and officials. The session also appreciated his efforts against smuggling and TP replacement.
Additional Collectors Khalid Hussain Jamali, Feroz Alam Junejo, Syed Asad Raza Rizvi; Deputy/Assistant Collectors Amjad Leghari, Moazzam Raza, Raza Naqvi; Preventive Officers, Senior Preventive Officers, Inspectors and Senior Inspectors were also present.
