QUETTA: Collector Appraisement Quetta Agha Saeed has been transferred to another post, according to a notification issued by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). A farewell party was held in his honour, where he was presented with appreciation by his colleagues and staff.
Chief Collector Abdul Qadir Memon praised Agha Saeed’s performance as Collector Quetta and thanked him for his services. He said that Agha Saeed had made significant contributions to the revenue collection and anti-smuggling operations in the region.
During Agha Saeed’s tenure, Customs Quetta collected a total revenue of Rs50.35 billion for the fiscal year 2022-23, which was 28% higher than the target of Rs39.3 billion. In the month of June 2023, Customs Appraisement Quetta collected a net revenue of Rs5.94 billion, which was 49% higher than the target of Rs3.98 billion. On the last day of the fiscal year, Customs Quetta collected a record revenue of Rs753.3 million, which was the highest single-day collection in the history of the collectorate.
It may be mentioned here Collectorate customs Appraisement Quetta has also posted staff at Rekodik EPZ Gold project for clearance of Import / export through zone. Accordingly, Additional Collectors Imran Lillah and Chaudry Shahzad, Deputy Collector Usman Aziz, Superintendent Tariq Sultan, Mohammad Faisal, Arshad Zubair have been posted at Rekodik EPZ.
