QUETTA: Customs Quetta is continuing its campaign against smuggling and smugglers. A large quantity of smuggled goods including cloth, betel nut, tyres and NCP vehicles were recovered valuing Rs100 million.
Customs staff recovered cloth and two NCP vehicles at Lakpas. Similarly, Ziarat Cross Field Enforcement Unit recovered smuggled tyres from a Hino truck. Rakhni Field Enforcement Unit seized four toms of betel nut from a truck concealed under fresh coriander.
Under the directives of Chief Collector Abdul Qadir Memon and Collector Quetta Irfan ur Rehman, Additional Collector Umar Shafique, Deputy Collector Abdul Moed Kanjo, Deputy collector Asad Aleem and Assistant Collector Muhammad Saleem formed field enforcement teams led by Fareed Rind, Muhammad Rafiq, Masood Jamali conducted these operations.
