KARACHI:A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) ordered issuance of notice to Chairman FBR, Collector of Pakistan Customs MCC East and West besides Deputy Attorney General for Pakistan in a petition filed by Sultan Co and ORO Industries challenging imposition of Regulatory Duty (RD).
A counsel from renowned law firm Franklin Law Associates appearing for the company at the outset of hearing pointed out that in petition CP-D 5064/ 2022, notices have been issued and provisional release has been ordered. He said that petitioner companies are willing to secure the disputed amounts against Pay Orders or Bank Guarantees.
The bench after hearing ordered issuance of notices to the respondents with the direction to tag this petition with earlier petition filed by Health & Hygiene Pvt Limited.
The petition will come up for hearing on 5-11-2022.
