KARACHI: Four identical petitions including leading petition filed by Waresa Chemicals, Lahore were disposed of by a constitutional bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Agha Faisal and Justice Abdul Mobeen Lakho.
As the petitions filed in year 2019 and 2020 came up for hearing, Aqeel Ahmed Khan Advocate and other counsels for petitioner submitted that these petitions can be disposed of with the directions to the respondent Director of Directorate General of Customs Valuation and Chief Collector of Customs, Appraisement (South) with the directions to finalize the assessment vide a speaking order after providing opportunity of hearing to the Petitioners.
The counsels representing respondent Custom Officers did not object to such proposal at which the bench disposed of all the four petitions as per terms requested.
