SHC restrain custom from coercive action against M.M.Steel Sialkot while directing custom authorities to re-examine the request for mutilation of imported goods.
The petitioner company moved the court through Rana Sakhawat advocate challenging letter of Assistant Collector (MTO-ODT) dated 16-9-2022 where in request for mutilation of iron and steel rollers was sought under section 27 of Customs Act 1969.
This custom authorities did not assigned any reason but said goods do not qualify for mutilation U/s 27-A read with Rule 592 of SRO 450/2001.
