KARACHI: The custom collectorate of Port Muhammad Bin Qasim was directed to examine the goods declaration in respect of seized goods.

The bench heard Sheikh Jawaid Mir Advocate who said that goods of petitioner were seized by custom authorities. He submitted that goods were imported under valud documents and were released after payment of duty and taxes and now action by custom authorities is uncalled for. He said that respondent department is not considering or examine GDs in respect of seized goods.

He said petitioner would be satisfied and not press the petition if respondents are directed to consider documents relied upon by the Petitioner. Khalid Mehmood Siddiqui counsel for respondents objected to the disposal in terms of prayer.

Assistant Attorney General G.M .Bhutto also assisted the court. The bench after hearing the counsel dispised of the petition with direction to consider and examine the GDs rhat whther they are in respect of seized goods and while deciding the controversy shall keep in mind decisions by SHC as well as Supreme Court of Pakistan.
