KARACHI: Pakistan Customs was restrained from coercive measures against two car importers Mesers JW SEZ and MG Automobiles Pvt limited.
The bench was hearing a petition filed by these companies importing vehicles from China. A counsel from renowned law firm Franklin Law Associates appearing for the Petitioners submitted that an appeal is pending before Collector of appeals.
The counsel submitted that he will not press this petition if direction is given to Collector Appeals to decide stay application soonest. The bench allowing the request disposed of the petition with direction to decide stay application within 15 days from the date this order is received.
The bench also restrained the customs from coercive measures against petitioner companies till next date of hearing.
