QUETTA: Customs Enforcement Quetta has seized large quantity of narcotics from a Hino truck at Surab.
Based on an information, Collector Dr. Fareed had tasked Assistant Collector Shafiullah to plan a crackdown in the movement of narcotics.
Under the monitoring of Additional Collector Moen Afzal, Assistant Collector Shafiullah mounted surveillance and observed the movement of traffic for two weeks and finally, team FEU Surab headed by Inspector Shabbir khan successfully chased and intercepted a Hino trailer truck.
Detailed examination of the vehicle has resulted into recovery of 650Kg Hashish (charas) valuing Rs265 million clandestinely hidden in the especially designed cavities on the floor of truck. FIR has been lodged and further proceedings are underway.
An official said Customs authorities were determined to eliminate smuggling particularly narcotics smuggling, as the money made from this dirty business fund terrorist and anti-social elements.
