KARACHI: The Deputy Collector, Customs, Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, Director, Intelligence & Investigations and DP World were ordered by a division bench of High Court of Sindh here on Tuesday to ensure compliance of an order passed on 3-12-2019 or in case of non-compliance warned them of passing appropriate orders against delinquent officers.
The bench comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Mahmood A Khan earlier heard counsel from Franklin Law Associates appearing for the petitioner company R.K. Enterprises. As soon as the matter was taken up this morning, counsel for respondents sought time for filing comments.
The counsel for the law firm informed the bench that the order dated 3-12-2019 was not being complied with.
The bench deciding the plea of urgency and perusing the order passed on previous date ordered the customs department to ensure compliance by next date of hearing failing which it warned that appropriate orders will be passed against the delinquent officials.
