KARACHI: Pre-admission notices were issued for Dec 13 to the Chairman FBR, Collector Customs, MCC Appraisement (East) and Director (Valuation) in a petition filed by Shan Chemicals.
Rayan Zia advocate of law firm “Expert Law” appeared for the petitioner company and submitted that his client seeks provisional release of the consignment assessed as per Valuation Ruling (VR 1091/2017) which has been challenged before Director General (Valuation).
The bench after hearing the counsel ordered issuance of pre-admission notices to the respondents for Dec 13 and also sought comments by the next date of hearing. The respondents were also directed to consider the request of petitioner company for the provisional release of the consignment subject to securing of amount of duty and taxes through pay order or bank guarantee as per law before the Collectorate concerned.
