KARACHI: Justice Aftab Ahmed Gorar of High Court of Sindh (SHC) on Monday dismissed an appeal filed by Pakistan Customs against accused Umer Khan s/o Wilayat Khan and clearing agent Waseem Butt s/o of Imtiaz Butt.
Both the accused were booked by Customs, JITC on alleged charge of smuggling 900 mobile phones. The accused were tried by the Special Customs Court at Karachi which acquitted the accused after the Investigating Officer in his statement said that the IME number of the mobile phones have been tallied thus allegation of smuggling was disproved.
Today the appellate bench of SHC maintained the judgment by trial court which acquitted the accused. The accused were represented by Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate.
