KARACHI: Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of MCC Preventive has seized smuggled goods worth Rs4.732 million.
Information was passed through Deputy Collector Muhammad Faisal about the movement of smuggled diesel. Subsequently, the ASO staff seized one Hino water tanker and recovered 24,800 liters diesel oil worth Rs2.23 million from Akhtar colony area. The value of tanker is 2.5 million.
In another action, ASO of MCC Preventive Karachi intercepted a truck coming from Mand loaded with drums of bitumen cleared vide GD#1783 at Moachko choke point. On cursory examination, Irani diesel was detected, which was concealed inside the truck. Verification of documents is under process. Quantity of diesel will be confirmed as ascertained.
