KARACHI: The Establishment Division has notified the names of BS-20 officers nominated for 104th National Management Course and BS-18 officers nominated for 21st Mid-carrier Management Course (MCMC).
The BS-20 officers of Pakistan Customs Service nominated for 104th NMC include Khwaja Umer Mehdi Member Technical Customs Appellate Tribunal Lahore, Ms. Zeba Hai Azhar Collector Islamabad and Suraiya Ahmed Butt Collector Port Qasim.
The BS-20 officers of Inland Revenue Service nominated for 104th NMC include Rana Muhammad Luqman Director Internal Audit Multan, Ms. Naheed Azhar Commissioner SRB Karachi and Syed Nadeem Hussain Chief Commissioner (OPS) RTO Sukkur.
The BS-18 officers of Pakistan Customs Service nominated for 21st MCMC include Rizwan Bashir Deputy Director Customs Valuation Karachi, Shahid Ali Deputy Collector Port Qasim Karachi, Ather Naveed Deputy Collector Port Qasim, Afzaal Ahmed Deputy Director I&I Rawalpindi and Asadullah Larik Deputy Collector Adjudication Quetta.
The BS-18 officers of Inland Revenue Service nominated for 21st MCMC include Ashok Kumar Chanchaini Additional Commissioner (OPS) RTO Karachi, Sobia Mazhar Deputy Commissioner RTO Karachi, Nisar Ahmed Burki Deputy Commissioner LTU Karachi, Izhar Ahmed Deputy Commissioner LTU Karachi, Ghulam Hussain Jatoi Deputy Commissioner RTO Karachi and Laiq Zaman Deputy Commissioner RTO Karachi. Both, the courses will start from February 01, 2016.
It is pertinent to mention here that Appraisement South comprising MCC Appraisement East, Appraisement West and Port Qasim are the highest revenue generating collectorates of the country and the office of Collectors of these three formations would be vacated soon as Collector Port Qasim Surayya Ahmed Butt is going for management course, Collector Appraisement East Majid Yousafani is going to Australia as he has been posted there under Ministry of Commerce while Collector Appraisement West Dr. Agha Jawwad will most likely be promoted by the upcoming CSB meeting to BS-21 and he would accordingly assume new office.
Member Customs Nasir Masroor has started consultations with Chairman FBR Nisar Mohammad Khan for finalizing candidates for these positions. For the last three years, FBR is pursuing the practice of posting competent and highly reputed officers on key positions. The intelligence report is also being awaited regarding the conduct of officers that be considered.
