KARACHI: The Federal Government has increased regulatory duty on the import of old and used cars with effect from December 01, 2015.
SRO 1176(I)/2015 has notified the revised schedule of regulatory duty on new, old & used vehicles, as it amended the schedule of duty as available in SRO 482(I)/2009.
Accordingly, new sport utility vehicles 1801cc to 3000cc (except electric hybrids) would attract 50 percent ad valorem; old and used sport utility vehicles 1801cc to 3000cc (except electric hybrids) are levied 60 percent ad valorem; New cars and Jeeps 1801 cc to 3000cc (except electric hybrids) would attract 50 percent ad valorem; Old and used cars and Jeeps 1801 cc to 3000cc (except electric hybrids) would attract 60 percent ad valorem; new cars and jeeps above 3000 cc (except electric hybrids) would attract 50 percent ad valorem; Old and used cars and jeeps above 3000 cc (except electric hybrids) would attract 60 percent ad valorem.
New sport utility vehicles above 2000cc (except electric hybrids) would attract RD of 50 percent ad valorem; Old and used sport utility vehicles above 2000cc (except electric hybrids) are levied 60 percent ad valorem; New All terrain vehicles (CBU) (except electric hybrids) are levied 50 percent ad valorem; Old and used All terrain vehicles (CBU) (except electric hybrids) are levied 60 percent ad valorem; New cars and jeeps above 2000 cc (except electric hybrids) are levied 50 percent ad valorem; used cars and jeeps above 2000 cc (except electric hybrids) are levied 60 percent ad valorem; New cars and jeeps above 2500 cc (except electric hybrids) are levied 50 percent ad valorem; Old and used cars and jeeps above 2500 cc (except electric hybrids) are levied 50 percent ad valorem; New other (except electric hybrids) are levied 50 percent ad valorem and old and used other (except electric hybrids) are levied 60 percent ad valorem.
