KARACHI: The Federal Government has reduced duty/tax exemptions available on the import of old and used automotive vehicles of Asian makes meant for transport of persons.
Henceforth, incidence of cumulative duty and taxes in excess of $13200 on the import of Asian make old/used up to 801cc to 1000cc will be exempt/waived; earlier this limit was $12,000.
Incidence of cumulative duty and taxes in excess of $18590 on the import of Asian make old/used 1001cc to 1300cc, will be exempt/waived; earlier this limit was $16,900.
Incidence of cumulative duty and taxes in excess of $22550 on the import of Asian make old/used 1501cc to 1600cc will be exempt/waived; earlier this limit was $20,500.
Incidence of cumulative duty and taxes in excess of $27940 on the import of Asian make old/used 1601cc to 1800cc (excluding jeeps) will be exempt/waived; earlier this limit was $25,400.
