This latest award adds to the multiple accolades Solaris had received for its integrated green design including the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Award 2016 (Sustainable Development Category, World Gold Winner), Singapore Property Awards 2015 (Sustainable Development Category), BEI Asia Awards 2014 (Commercial Buildings Category), the National Parks Board Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework Award2014 and the ASEAN Energy Awards 2013 (Energy Efficient Building –New Existing Category).
The BCA Green Mark Scheme was launched in January 2005 as an initiative to drive Singapore’s construction industry towards more environment-friendly buildings. It is intended to promote sustainability in the built environment and raise environmental awareness among developers, designers and builders when they start project conceptualisation and design, as well as during construction. It is also a benchmarking scheme which incorporates internationally recognised best practices in environmental design and performance.
