KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh will hear a contempt of court application against Managing Director Suit Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) Amin Rajput and Acting MD Nadeem Aziz on Monday.
The application was filed by Khalid Mehmnood Rajpar Advocate as SSGC employee removed the gas meter despite payment of a regular bills on average basis as ordered by SHC.
The SSGC is demanding a bill of over 900,000, an inflated bill while his regular monthly consumption is about 1200 rupees per month. It is noteworthy that meter was removed in 2024 also and reinstalled on the orders of the court.
The un-named employees of gas company who removed the meter were also made respondents in contempt application.
The inflated bill are becoming a routine affair with the gas company and victims are domestic consumers.
