KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan on Thursday restrained Pakistan Customs from interfering in a TP consignment while fixing further hearing on Dec 06.

The bench earlier heard a counsel from Franklin Law Associates representing petitioner company Waseem Enterprises which imported a consignment of toiletries etc.

The consignment was detained on ground that brands were not mentioned in the papers / Goods Declaration.

The counsel for petitioner submitted before the bench that the petitioner was being harassed illegally as no GD was filed. GD would be filed at destination i.e Lahore, the counsel said adding that it was beyond jurisdiction of East Collectorate to detain the consignment.
