KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh hearing a constitutional petition filed by Super House (Private) Limited, restrained the Collectorate of Pakistan Customs, East from taking action.
The bench heard Franklin Law Associate’s counsel representing the petitioner company who submitted that consignment of artificial leather was properly assessed and was “out of charge” when DIT officials intercepted the same. The petitioner ‘s counsel also maintained any action would be violative of section 25 of the Customs Act 1969.
The bench allowing the request restrained the customs official from taking any coercive action. The bench later fixed Feb 02 for a detailed hearing.
