KARACHI: A divisional bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro and Justice Khadim Hussain M Shaikh on Thursday issued notices to the Collector Customs, Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad for August 03 in a case filed by owner of two oil tankers.
Earlier the bench heard Ms Dil Khurram Shaheen advocate who said her client/petitioner Abdul Wajid moved the court seeking compliance of orders of Special Customs Appellate Tribunal. She submitted that tribunal has ordered unconditional release of the oil tankers owned by the petitioner as these were only source of income of the petitioner and detained since 2014.
The bench after hearing initial arguments ordered issuance of notices to the respondents for Aug 03. The same bench also adjourned hearing in at least three identical cases indefinitely due to paucity of time.
