KARACHI: A petition filed by Messer’s Milkz Foods, importer of Food Emulsifier was disposed of by a Custom Appellate bench of High Court of Sindh after a statement by Sardar Zafar Hussain Advocate representing Pakistan Customs (SAPT).
As the petition came up for hearing, the counsel for SAPT submitted that pursuant to the order of the court dated 9.5.2024, the goods have been released and matter has been referred to the Classification Committee.
The counsel for petitioner company confirmed such position and sought orders that Classification Committee shall decide the same after affording hearing to the petitioner.
The counsel for Pakistan Customs also sought ordered pertaining to secured amount of duty and taxes and said same shall remain to lie with the department.
The bench allowing the requests of both sides disposed of the petition.
