Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (I&I) Gwadar successfully intercepted and seized contraband goods worth Rs. 40.98 million in a single day. Under the proficient leadership of DG I&I, Director I&I Gwadar Jamshied Talpur, and Additional Director Moen Afzal, the team executed a well-coordinated operation that led to the recovery of various smuggled items from passenger buses and a truck.

The first seizure involved Passenger Bus No. BYA-131, from which authorities recovered miscellaneous goods, including Iranian confectionery items and plastic shopping bags, with the total value of the seized goods and vehicle amounting to Rs. 13.845 million.

In a separate incident, Passenger Bus No. ND-2121 was intercepted, leading to the recovery of Iranian confectionery items and skimmed milk powder. The total value of the goods and vehicle in this case was Rs. 13.610 million.

Additionally, the Directorate’s vigilant officers intercepted a Hino Truck No. TKK-757 carrying 6,620 liters of smuggled High-Speed Diesel (HSD). The value of the seized goods and vehicle in this instance is reported to be Rs. 13.525 million.

These successful operations are a testament to the Directorate’s commitment to curbing smuggling activities and protecting the nation’s economic interests. The cumulative value of the seized goods in the three cases is a substantial Rs. 40.98 million, marking a significant blow to the illicit trade networks operating in the region.
