QUETTA: Customs Quetta has seized large quantity of smuggled goods worth Rs150 million as the Customs is pursuing a rigorous anti-smuggling campaign.

Field Enforcement Units at Chaman, Dalbandin, Rakhni, Yaro, Darakhsan, Kolpur, Lakpas, Mashkil, Naushki, Panjchai in association with FC and other law enforcement agencies made several seizures.

The seized goods include sugar, Irani diesel, scrap plastic, tyres, cloth and non-customs-paid vehicles.

Quetta is a very sensitive station as far as smuggling is concerned. The FBR has appointed a very efficient and honest team comprising Chief Collector Enforcement Baluchistan Mohammad Saleem and Collector Enforcement Irfan ur Rehman and Additional Collector Umar Shafique. This enforcement team has broken the network of smuggling in the province.

On the other hand Appraisement Quetta team comprising Collector Appraisement Agha Saeed and Additional Collector Imran Lillah have tightened controls to check any revenue leakage.
