KARACHI: A custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) suspended an  order of Custom Appellate Tribunal in case of pilferage of goods destined for EPZ Risalpur while hearing a constitution petition filed by Collector of Customs (Enforcement), Karachi.

Khalid Rajpar Advocate represented the petitioner. The counsel for petitioner submitted that tribunal by way of interim relief has ordered release of goods which have been directly confiscated. It was contended that appellate tribunal erred and went beyond its powers by giving a relief which was not given by the Adjudicating Officer who passed Order in Original.

The bench after hearing Khalid Rajpar Advocate ordered issuance of pre-admission notices to the respondents including Shippo Pakistan after three weeks while suspending the impugned order.
