KARACHI: The Chairman FBR and Collectors of Model Custom Collectorate East and West were put on notice by a customs Appellete bench of High Court of Sindh.
The petition was filed by Sultan & Co through Franklin Law Associates.
A counsel from the law firm stated before the bench that identical issue of imposition of Regulatory Duty has been challenged before this court in CP 5112 & 5064 of 2022.
He submitted that notices have been issued and petitioner prays for provisional release of consignments on securing disputed amount of RD by way of Pay Order or bank guarantee.
The bench after breif hearing ordered notices to respondents including Attorney General of Pakistan under Order XXViI-A of C.P.C 1908, for a date to be fixed by the office of the court
Meanwhile Nazir of SHC was directed to accept the security in accordance with law.
The petition was also tagged with earlier petitions.
