QUETTA: Customs Quetta has foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantity of narcotics including Charas and opium worth Rs15 million.
Information was passed through Collector Khalid Hussain Jamali to Additional Collector Moen Afzal regarding movement of contraband goods. Assistant Collector Shafiullah formed ateam led by Inspector Shahzad Akhtar to foil the attempt.
Subsequently, a Mazda truck was intercepted. Examination of the vehicle led to recovery of 100KG high quality charas and 5kg marijuana and 5kg opium.
The goods were being smuggled to the in country. Investigations are underway.
