KARACHI: Pakistan Customs was restrained from encashing bank guarantee/security sumbitted by a dozen importers of fabric from China.
The order came from a custom appellate bench of High Court of Sindh in an appeal filed by Glacier International, Sialkot impunging a judgment by Special Custom Appellate Tribunal at Karachi
The two member tribunal dismissed the identical appeals filed by importers against an Order in Revision passed by Director General Valuation, Pakistan Customs.
The importers challenged the Valuation Ruling on higher side. The bench after hearing Rana Sakhawat Advocate,counsel for applicant said law points raised needs consideration. The bench then ordering issuance of notices to the respondents restrained customs from encashing the bank guarantee till next date of hearing.
