KARACHI: Two identical constitution petitions filed by Volka Food International Ltd and Silver Lake Food Products Limited were disposed of here on Wednesday by a custom appellate bench of High Court of sindh.
As the petitions came up for hearing, Deputy Collector of Customs (Exports) Dr Jam Ibrahim informed the bench that petitioners have paid the duties and taxes etc in respect of the consignments concerned. He said that samples have been drawn for any further proceedings and the consignments are set for release.
Ahmed Masood Advocate assisted by Syed Naveed Hussain Wasti advocate confirmed the position. The bench noting the presence of counsel for department including Khalid Mehmood Rajpar, Appraising Officer Mr. Dhanraj and Alizeh Bashir Deputy Attorney General for Federation disposed of the petitions having served their purposes.
