KARACHI: Notorious smuggled Nabi Bux has apologized after his video went viral in which he was threatening and verbally abusing the staff of CIA Rajanpur.
It may be mentioned here that a well-coordinated anti-smuggling campaign underway, wherein all the law enforcement agencies, security agencies are assisting Pakistan Customs on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
However, when CIA Rajanpur intercepted vehicles belonging to Nabi Bux for checking and verification whether the goods were smuggled or not, notorious smuggler Nabi Bux arrived on the spot along with his associated and started threatening and verbally abusing the CIA Rajanpur staff.
But, the video of this ordeal went viral in which Nabi Bux is seen belittling the law enforcement agencies as well the government of Pakistan.
Afterwards, Nabi Bux appeared in another video and apologized for the words he used, however Nabi Bux didn’t speak anything of his illegal business and the smuggled goods being transported in his vehicles.
Customs sources said Nabi Bux was a smuggler and several FIRs had been lodged against him at various stations across the country.
It may be mentioned here that smugglers in Baluchistan have grown quite powerful (read above the law) due to their connections in the political circles as well as security establishment. There have been several instances when these smugglers and criminals attacked and injured Customs officials. One Deputy Collector was also killed by one of these smugglers.
