KARACHI: Customs staff posted at MCC JIAP Karachi recovered around 1kg of cocaine from a passenger arriving through a Qatar Airways flight.
On the instructions of Collector Irfan ur Rehman and Additional Collector Farah Farooq, Deputy Collector Inam Ullah Wazir, Superintendent Jamal Zia have tightened the vigilance on the incoming passengers.
Customs staff posted at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi intercepted a passenger arriving from an African country via Qatar and recovered 940 grams of pure cocaine skillfully concealed in his suitcase.
Due to sophisticated concealment, he evaded to be caught by Qatari authorities. Value of the seized cocaine is estimated to be Rs15 million.
