KARACHI: A customs appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Junaid Ghaffar and Justice Agha Faisal restrained the Pakistan Customs from releasing a disputed consignment of tennis balls.
The bench was hearing a Special Customs Reference Application filed by Messers K.K. Mart, Multan which challenged an order passed by Special Customs Appellate Tribunal. The tribunal while hearing an appeal by S.S.Traders allowed the same ordering release of the item.
As the SCRA was taken up, a counsel for applicant submitted that tribunal passed order without noticing the respondent side. The court while passing order also observed that tribunal acted in haste.
The bench also issued notices to the respondents for a date to be fixed later.
