KARACHI: The link judge for Special Customs Court at Karachi admitted an accused in smuggling case to a surety of rupees 0.2 million.
Muhammad Sharif who was booked in crime FIR ASO 211 of 2019 sought bail. According to the FIR, custom officials intercepted a bus at Mochko, Hub river road and during search recovered pan parag (betel nuts of different companies), Iranian glass ware and other articles smuggled into Karachi. The total value of offending goods is stated to be 4877814 rupees.
The court after hearing arguments by counsel for applicant admitted him to bail against a solvent surety of rupees 200,000.
