KARACHI: the Customs authorities destroyed large quantity of contraband and counterfeit products seized by Anti-smuggling Organization (ASO) of MCC Preventive and Directorate of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Enforcement.[the_ad id=”31605″]MCC Preventive held a ceremony, which was attended by Member Customs Agha Jawwad as the chief guest. Chief Collector Enforcement Wasif Memon, Collector Preventive Dr. Fareed Iqbal Qureshi, Collector Exports Port Qasim Saifuddin Junejo, Additional Collector Aamir Theim, Deputy Collectors Akbar Jan, Muhammad Faisal and officers of Rangers and Police were also present on the occasion.
The destroyed goods include heroin, cocaine, charas, amphetamine, gutka, betel nut, chocolate, packing material, dry battery cell, expired medicine, cosmetics and food products, cigarettes and sex medicines.
Directorate of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Enforcement also held an event to destroy the confiscated counterfeit products. Member Customs Agha Jawwad was the chief guest at the event.
Chief Collector Appraisement South Surayya Butt, Chief Collector Enforcement Wasif Memon, Director General IPR Arslan Subuctageen, Director Aamir Rasheed Sheikh, Additional Director Sajjad Haider, Deputy Director Hina Gul and others were present on the occasion.
