LAHORE: The Anti-Smuggling Organization Lahore has seized large quantity of smuggled fabric from a container-trailer here the other day.
According to details, Information was conveyed through the collector that huge quantity of foreign origin fabric will be smuggled from Karachi to Lahore.
Anti smuggling Squad consisting of Sajjad bukhari, Abdul Rehman Butt, Abulhassan and Waqas Ahmad and allied staff held a picket. The suspected vehicle was spotted. The operational ASO staff stopped the truck and for detail examination and further probe, brought the same at State warehouse house, Thokar Niaz Baig Lahore and recovered 12000 kgs foreign origin polyester knitted fabric valuing Rs10.5 million. Further investigation is underway.
