KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has appointed Muhammad Zahid Khokhar (BS-21) as the Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation with immediate effect. Zahid Khokhar will also hold the additional charge of Member Customs FBR until further orders. Sources said this was an ad-hoc posting as the High Power Board had reportedly approved Zahid’s promotion to BS-22, and notification in this regard would be issued soon.
It may be mentioned that Shaukat Ali was recently removed from the office of DG Customs Intelligence and Investigation. After the decision of High Power Board is notified, there will be another round of transfers and postings.
