KARACHI: The Ministry of Finance has imposed a foreign travel embargo on Director General Customs Intelligence & Investigation, Shaukat Ali as the officer is facing multiple inquiries and investigations, sources told Customnews.pk.
According to details, Shaukat Ali had forwarded his application to the Ministry of Finance seeking permission to visit Korea to attend the meeting of Financial Action Task Force (FATF). However, the Finance Minister reportedly declined his application to visit Korea and Shaukat Ali is barred from travelling abroad.
Director General Customs Intelligence & Investigation Shaukat Ali is facing NAB investigations and inquiries relating to controlled smuggling and money laundering.
