KARACHI: Justice Aziz-ur-Rahman of High Court of Sindh on Monday admitted an applicant/accused in Iranian diesel smuggling case to protective bail till Aug 5 against a solvent surety of rupees 100,000.
Imran son of Ghulam Mustafa claimant of an oil tanker moved the bail plea. According to details, Pakistan Customs intercepted an oil tanker which was later impounded after Iranian diesel was found within.
The registration documents showed that it was owned by one Abdul Samad Bijenzo. Howeverduring investigations, Customs found that vehicle was purchased by the present applicant/ accused Imran who bought it on installments. The customs later registered a FIR and was raiding different places prompting the applicant/ accused to protective bail till Aug 05.
