Director Quetta Irfan Javed known as a competent and honest officer has streamlined affairs at Directorate of Customs Intelligence, Quetta. As a result, the directorate staff made significant progress against smuggling and made several cases and seized smuggled goods worth millions.
Sources said Director General Shaukat Ali had been interfering in the affairs of various directorates and even the transfers and postings were made without the consultations of directors. It may be mentioned here that officers posted at directorates of Customs Intelligence and Investigation across the country were shuffled quite frequently due to the interferences made by the Director General.
