KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh headed by Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi will hear a constitution petition challenging vires of Section 58, sub section B and T, on Sept 21.
The respondents including Federal Secretary Revenue division, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Comissioner, Inland Revenue, Large Tax Payers Unit and Chief Collector Customs, Karachi were put on notice for the said date.
The petitioner M. Tayyab Shaikh moved the court through counsel Afsheen Aman, Advocate Supreme Court questioning the constitutionality and powers of the respondents to make amendments and adding the impugned sections which are contrary to Article 3,4,9 and 24 of the Constitution of Pakistan.
The bench after hearing initial arguments from the sides while putting of hearing fixed Sept 21 for a final hearing.
