KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) headed by Justice Munib Akhtar fixed Sept 26 to hear an application against Deputy Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, West.
According to applicant/petitioner Shehzad Zafar Khan, a constitutional petition challenging the confiscation of a Toyota Land Cruiser is pending adjudication before SHC. The respondent officials of Pakistan Customs including DIT have been put on notice yet they auctioned the vehicle.
The bench taking note of the act of the respondents issued notice of the application directing the DC, West to appear in person on Sept 26 and to explain that while petition was pending before HC, how the vehicle was auctioned.
