KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh will hear a petition on Tuesday (today) filed by a resident of Ibrahim Hyderi village who challenged the construction of a multi storey building by Pakistan Customs in his native village.
Muhammad Hussain, resident of Mohallah Kadani moved the court saying that land was provided to the Pakistan Customs by his grandfather for establishing a Customs check post for anti-smuggling. He said that both the parties agreed to keep a ground floor building only as per norms and traditions of the village maintaining privacy of all other residents.
He maintained that recently Customs demolished the old structure and now has planned to raise a five storey building while would compromise the privacy of villagers.
He prayed to the court to restrain the Pakistan Customs from raising any construction beyond a ground floor.
