KARACHI: Director Customs Valuation Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of frozen Pangasius fillet/Rohu fish vide Valuation Ruling No.947/2016.
The customs values of subject fish were earlier determined vide Valuation Ruling No. 544/2013. Since the said valuation was 3 years old and needed revision in the light of values prevailing in the international market.
Wasif Memon formed a team comprising Additional Director Nadeem Memon, Deputy Director Shoib Raza, Principal Appraiser Safdar Abbas and Appraising Officer Umar Baloch to determine the values of the frozen fish afresh.
The customs values of frozen panagasius fillet fish under PCT 0303.3900 of Vietnam/Myanmar are increased to $1.72/KG, which earlier was $1.56/kg. Moreover, the customs values of rohu (unprocessed) under PCT 0303.3900 of all origins are fixed at $2.0/kg.
