LAHORE: The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Model Custom Collectorate Preventive, Lahore led by Assistant Collector Dr. Muhammad Adnan Khan seized smuggled and non-duty paid vehicles, goods during the month of August 2016 valuing Rs31.767 million.
Cases of valuing Rs12.075 million were made during the month of August 2015. ASO Lahore has made cases valuing Rs71.60 million during the period July 2016 to August 2016 whereas cases valuing Rs58.094 millions were made during the corresponding period of last year.
Meanwhile, staff of Model Custom Collectorate Preventive, Lahore posted at GPO, Lahore foiled an attempt of smuggling of Heroin weighing 1492 grams concealed in a parcel under the garb of kitchen-wares. The said parcel was booked for Netherland. An FIR against the culprit had been lodged and investigation is underway.
