KARACHI: Hundreds of cases were adjourned and thousands of litigants suffered due to a three day strike call given by the bar associations of Sindh.
The strike was jointly called by Sindh Bar Council, Sindh High Court Bar Association, Karachi Bar Association and Malir Bar Association besides other bars of the province to protest inability of the provincial government in recovering Barrister Owais Ali Shah, arrest of Advocate Ibrahim Jatoi accused of being a member of dacoit who loots people coming out of banks. Owais Shah was recovered on Tuesday, the second day of the three day boycott of court but still the bar associations decided to continue their protest as according to their leaders other issues remains unresolved.
The lawyer leaders said that a convention of representative bar association will be held on July 23 as announced earlier to decide future course of action.
