KARACHI: The government has reduced sales tax rates on petroleum products to keep the end consumer prices unchanged during the month of June 2016.
The rate of sales tax on high speed diesel is reduced to Rs18.47/liter from Rs25.16/liter earlier. Sales tax at the rate of RS5.58/liter will be applicable on kerosene compared with Rs3.60/liter earlier.
Sales tax is reduced to Rs9.36 on motor spirit from RS 9.89/liter earlier; to Rs10.58 on HOBC from Rs10.65 and tax rate is reduced to Rs1.86/liter on light diesel oil from Rs3.38/liter earlier.
