KARACHI: MCC Port Qasim has seized 13000 liters of foreign origin diesel from a truck at National Highway.
Information was passed on by Collector Chaudry Javed to Additional Collector Khaleel Yousfani to intercept a truck bearing registration TAK 142 loaded with foreign origin diesel in purpose built tanks/cavities, coming from Hub toward Thatta.
A team led by Deputy Collector Adnan and comprising Superintendent ASO and officers intercepted the said vehicle on national Highway near Razaqabad.
Diesel was concealed in specially designed cavities of purpose-built vehicle.The vehicle along with foreign origin diesel said to be 13000 litters is detained at ASO office at port Qasim due to want of documents.
Further investigations are underway.
